April 2012 Update

We are getting really close now. The house is nearly de-cluttered. We've gotten rid of (nearly) everything that won't fit in the fifth wheel. We should have the house listed by next week.

We bought a truck last week! We found a really good deal on a 2006 Dodge 2500 Heavy Duty Megacab Cummins Diesel with only 62000 miles on it. It has air filled shock boosters which should help considerably with the 2500 HD suspension.

We loaded the truck completely inside and out for a trip to Goodwill today. It is simply amazing how much unnecessary junk we carry from house to house with us all our lives. And then when it gets down to it, and we have to decide what's really important, it becomes relatively easy to discard most of it, some to the kids, some to Goodwill, and some to the dump. We have managed to sell a few things and our next door neighbor has taken a bunch of stuff he feels he can sell on eBay and craigs list for us. He's getting 30% of the sale for his efforts, which is well worth it for us not having to deal with all that.
